Dentures are artificial teeth made for those having no teeth or suffering from teeth infection. Also, it is known as false teeth. Some people use dentures to replace their missing teeth and use supporting soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. A removable partial denture (RPD) is made for partially edgeless patient who want to replace their teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons such as a lack of required teeth to serve as support for a bridge (i.e. distal abutments) or financial limitations. 1.  Clean your mouth and denture both on a regular basis so that denture have a long life.

2.  Remove and rinse denture after having food especially anything fried as it could acidify the denture.

3.  Brush your dentures daily and soak them overnight.

4.  In last, handle your dentures carefully so that they will stay long and give you healthy mouth.

How Are Dentures Made And Types Of Denture Adhesives:-

Dentures are made in several steps from making impressions of your jaw to the adjustment made while fitting in the mouth, a long process actually it is. And, there are two types of Denture Adhesives are there, one is paste application and other is powder application. Paste application is applied to preferably wet or dry denture and Powder application is sprinkled with uniform layer on the tissue bearing surface of the denture.

Types of Dentures:-

1. Standard Or Complete Dentures- Dentures that is available in basically for those people missing their all teeth. The back of the standard denture ends behind the hard bone in the roof of the mouth.

2. Immediate Dentures- This denture acts like a Band-Aid and relieves pain. It's a temporary denture inserted immediately after the removal of patient’s teeth.

3. Partial Dentures- These dentures are different from others as they are used for the replacement of one or more than one teeth but not all.



4.Soft Liners- Its can be considered for after effects of a denture as it is used where patients have problems after successful replacement of a denture, then soft liners prove helpful. Soft liner is a soft polymer material applied to the tissue fitting surface of your hard denture base basically.
